Not Sure?

If you’re not sure which option is best, let’s talk about it!

psy·cho·log·i·cal safe·ty (definition)

Psychological Safety is an important aspect of work culture. It’s the key to unlocking a team’s full potential.

What would it feel like if our risks didn’t feel, well, so risky?

If you feel like speaking up in a particular environment is too risky, you might be suffering from low psychological safety. And I’d urge you to read that as the early cautionary sign it is. On the opposite side of the warning, you may have higher psychological safety in an environment where you feel you can take risks and contribute fully.

Everything hinges on Psychological Safety.

It’s a term used to measure how risky we feel it will be to speak up in a given environment. When we feel psychologically safe in our environment, we perform at our best and are able to hold one another accountable. If you’d like to understand Psychological Safety further, download our e-book!

Why Measure?

If you had the opportunity to see gaps clearly and create a thriving environment, why turn it down?

Higher psychological safety is linked directly to feelings of belonging and increased team performance. This leads to better innovation, adaptability and resilience. And we believe organizations should strive for that!

Having talented team members can only take a team so far. In addition to talent, employees need to feel safe to take risks and contribute fully. If employees are unable to speak their mind, innovation is stifled, collaboration is non-existent, and risks are avoided.

By gathering and assessing data essential to understanding your team’s sense of belonging, you’ll be able to work towards an increase in psychological safety, where employees bring new ideas and critical thinking to the table without suppressing discussion or feeling intimidated.

What Happens During the Scan.

Data regarding psychological safety is gathered and shared with teams in a way that allows decisions to be made for discussion and improvement of work conditions. There are four critical dimensions of focus:

Understanding how your team views the four dimensions ensures we don’t just create a culture where team members fit in; we create a culture where team members thrive.
