Looking Inward

Getting a tour of my house is like reading a short story.

I have quotes, inspirational sayings, and mantras all over the place. But this painting is by far my favorite – a brilliant combination of artwork (by @tamaragarvey), inspiration, and a classic movie quote.

“You had the power all along, my dear, you just had to learn it yourself.” – Glinda the Good Witch

The Wizard of Oz is one of the most influential films of all times, widely quoted and referenced.

“There’s no place like home.”
“Are you a good witch or a bad witch?”
“Well, that’s a horse of a different color!”

All great. But none as compelling as, “You had the power all along, my dear.”

This one feels life changing. Through the long and uncertain journey down the Yellow Brick Road, through the mean trees that threw apples at her, through being held captive by the Wicked Witch of the West, Dorothy had the power to get what she wanted all along. She only needed to learn how to look inward for her own power and make the choice.

How could looking inward for your own power help you today?
