Culinary Team Building
Preparing a meal together in our kitchen is a fun, engaging way to practice all of the important things teams do together in the workplace: decision making, problem-solving, collaborating, innovating, giving and receiving help from one another.
Your team members use all of their senses as we put them through a series of challenges to determine who has the most refined palate.
- What’s That Meat? – Can you figure out what a food is by only touching it?
- Smells Like Teen Spirit – How many foods can you identify by smell?
- Tastes Like Chicken – Blind taste testing, how many things really do taste like chicken?
- The Eyes Have It – Can you identify something after it’s been chopped, mashed, or blended?
Teams are presented with a finished dish and a blank recipe card. Working together, team members deduce the ingredients of the dish and then recreate it in the kitchen to see how close they can get to the original.
Teams are presented with quirky ingredients that they turn into delicious appetizers for their teammates. Work your way through 3 timed rounds to see who can turn out the best and most creative appetizers.
A secret ingredient is revealed to get teams started, then it’s all about creativity. Work against the clock as you prepare a multi-course meal using anything and everything you can find in the kitchen. The team with the best meal at the end wins!
Teams are presented with a series of pictures that they must organize into a visual recipe before they enter the kitchen to create a team meal for everyone to enjoy.
Do you have some competitive people in your company? Join us for our version of the popular TV show as teams square off against one another in a culinary showdown. But beware the sabotages…
Culinary Learning Workshops for Teams
Thought Design’s Culinary Learning Workshops for Teams teaches your team critical lessons in team building, synergy, communication and change management in a series of brain science-based learning sessions and discussions.
These two-part workshops start in our Learning Lab, with thought-provoking learning and hands-on exercises, then move into our Culinary Studio, where this new knowledge will be put to use to overcome various collaborative kitchen challenges. Each workshop culminates with a meal, dessert and debrief that applies the meaningful session material to a relevant, and delicious scenario.
