Within a team, it can be challenging to know when to use collaborative thinking vs. individual, coordinative, or cooperative thinking.
In fact, these are very different ways of thinking that can be easily confused. Collaboration is the melding together of a group of people’s individual thinking patterns to create a new way of thinking. It’s learning to think WITH others, which sounds totally doable since we’re naturally wired to be connected to other people, right?
Here’s the challenge – we’re also wired to be really connected to our own ideas, opinions, and ways of doing things. Our individual habits and patterns of thinking are what get in the way when we think about team collaboration.
How do you identify the differences, and learn how to merge your team together to inspire a truly collaborative result?
At this Lunch & Learn, you’ll be introduced to Your Thinking Toolbox, a collection of strategies and tips we call “tools”, organized by a variety of thinking categories, that help you change your mindset and get unstuck. We’ll be focusing on the thinking category “Collaboration,” where you’ll learn the brain science behind how our brains work, and how to use one of the tools we’ve developed that can inspire collaboration within your team.
What’s on the menu? Chef Justin will be serving a fresh and delicious meal of Grilled Chicken, paired with a salad of Mixed Greens, Pomegranate, Almonds, Grapefruit, Goat Cheese Feta, and a house made Lemon-Basil Dressing. YUM!
