Diversity & Our Unconscious Bias: Understanding the Differences in How We Think / Lunch & Learn Workshop
“In diverse societies, cultivating our ability to forge relationships across differences can actually increase our well-being.” – Unknown
Diversity means many things: differences in race, gender, income, sexuality, language and more. Yet there’s another way we’re different that goes beyond our physical descriptions: the way in which we THINK.
In today’s world, when our differences are on display more than ever, we have the opportunity to get curious about each other’s perspectives and mindsets, and be purposeful about how our own thoughts and actions contribute or detract from a culture of inclusivity.
During this Lunch & Learn workshop, we’ll participate in exercises that peel back the layers of our unconscious bias to uncover our own thinking patterns and habits. We’ll also unpack the brain science behind how we make sense of the world and discover how it influences our thinking. You’ll leave this workshop with practical thinking tools and strategies that you can implement immediately into your personal and professional life.
Learn how to become genuinely curious about how others make sense of the world, leading to more meaningful connections and more trusting relationships.
This training is just scratching the surface on skills and habits that every team needs to thrive in a complex world. If you’re ready to create a culture of growth and collaboration where everyone feels supported, this opportunity is for you. Come learn first hand how Thought Design’s Partnership Program looks at all 5 ways in which your team performs: learn, innovate, operate, communicate and connect, and develop a customized blueprint that prepares your team to push boundaries, take risks and become better thinkers.
A brain-fueling lunch will be served upon arrival, prepared fresh and in-house.
