“Emotional intelligence” refers to a set of competencies that support our ability to manage ourselves and our relationships with other people. People with strong EI are able to understand other people and the dynamics of an organization, and influence events to achieve their goals and the goals of the company. They have strong interpersonal relationship skills, can adapt to rapidly changing environments, and maintain balance during high stress situations.
Your effectiveness as a leader is directly connected to your EI, and through immersive learning and exercises you will expand on your strengths and explore growth opportunities while leveling up your EI capabilities. You will be encouraged to complete inter-session reading, reflection, and skill practice in your work and personal life to enhance your learning.
The EI framework consists of twelve competencies, which are grouped into four competency “clusters”.
