Learning shouldn’t be boring, hard or just for kids.

We often describe ourselves as a Fitness Center for the Mind. For many years now, we’ve been aware of the importance of taking care of our bodies. In recent years, developments in neuroscience have shown us how important it is to take equally good care of our brains.

There is also a concept in neuroscience called “neuroplasticity”, which means that we can change our brains. Contrary to commonly held beliefs that we just lose brain cells as we age, we now know that new neurons are born in our brains throughout our entire lives and the way we care for our brains determines whether we keep them or lose them. Memory, focus, mental sharpness, creativity and even the onset of dementia can all be impacted by our daily brain fitness routines.

There are four pillars of a brain-healthy lifestyle – sleep, learning, nutrition and exercise. Thought Design was created to provide a fun, beautiful environment for adults to learn, eat well and exercise. While we haven’t been able to figure out a way to sell sleep, we are committed to being a place that can help people improve the other three areas. We are passionate about learning and making learning fun. Drawing on the latest research on how adults learn, our classes and events are designed to help adults improve their lives, create new and better habits, connect with community and develop lifelong learning patterns.
